What’s the difference between venue-capacity inventory and ticket-type inventory?
Limiting Inventory by Venue Capacity
Venue-capacity inventory limits total attendance based on your venue capacity. All ticket types continue selling until the venue capacity has been reached.
For example:
Venue capacity: 500
Ticket Types:
- Early Bird:
- General Admission
- VIP
Total tickets available: 500
All 3 ticket types will continue selling until a combined total of 500 tickets has been reached.
Limiting Inventory by Ticket Type
Ticket-type inventory allows you to limit the quantity available for each ticket type individually.
For example:
- Early Bird: 50 tickets available
- General Admission: 300 tickets available
- VIP: 100 tickets available
Each ticket type sells independently according to its own inventory allocation.
