What do ticket statuses mean during check-in?
During check-in, tickets and add-ons may display different statuses depending on their validity and redemption history.
Understanding these statuses helps organisers and ushers quickly identify whether a supporter can be admitted to the event.
Valid
A Valid ticket is active and eligible for entry.
If the QR code scans successfully or the ticket ID is entered correctly, the attendee can be checked in.
Once checked in, the ticket status will automatically update to Used.
Used
A Used ticket has already been checked in and redeemed.
Used tickets cannot be scanned or redeemed again.
If a ticket displays Used, the attendee has already been recorded as having entered the event.
If an attendee believes this is incorrect, organisers should verify the booking details before granting entry.
Cancelled
A Cancelled ticket is no longer valid for entry.
This status may appear if:
- A refund has been processed.
- The booking has been cancelled.
- The event has been cancelled and tickets have been voided.
Cancelled tickets cannot be checked in.
Suspended
A Suspended ticket has been temporarily restricted pending review or verification.
This status is uncommon and may appear when there is an issue requiring further investigation.
If a ticket displays Suspended, organisers should not admit the attendee until the issue has been clarified.
If there is uncertainty about a ticket’s status, organisers should review the booking record in their dashboard before allowing entry.
Expired
An Expired ticket is no longer valid because the event or applicable entry period has ended. Expired tickets cannot be scanned or redeemed and should not be accepted for entry.
