Step-by-step guides to help you create and manage your gigs
Review & Publishing
Before publishing, you'll have an opportunity to review your gig in full.
Take the time to go through each section carefully. A few extra minutes at this stage can help prevent supporter confusion, unnecessary enquiries and avoidable changes later.
Review the following:
- Event dates and times
- Ticket pricing
- Ticket goal
- Venue details
- Images and descriptions
- Promotional links
- Inventory settings
Even experienced organisers occasionally overlook important details.
Common mistakes include:
- Setting overly ambitious ticket goals
- Publishing without a promotion plan
- Using unclear ticket names or descriptions
- Forgetting to review dates and times
- Rushing through the final review process
- Assuming supporters already understand the event concept
Before publishing, ask yourself:
- Is everything accurate?
- Would someone unfamiliar with this event understand what I'm offering?
- Does this reflect what I genuinely intend to deliver if the campaign confirms?
Your campaign page is often a supporter's first impression of your event. Clear information helps people feel more confident about booking.
Once you're ready, publish your gig.
Your campaign will go live on the campaign start date you've selected, and supporters will be able to begin booking tickets.
If your ticket goal is reached:
- Your event automatically confirms
- Supporter payments are processed
- Ticket sales continue
- You move into preparing and delivering the event
If your ticket goal isn't reached before the campaign ends, the event doesn't proceed and supporters aren't charged.
Publishing isn't the finish line. It's the beginning of your campaign journey.
The preparation you've done up to this point gives your event its best chance of confirming successfully.
