Selling Tickets After Confirmation

Reaching your ticket goal doesn’t mean ticket sales stop.

Once your event confirms, supporters gain confidence knowing that the event is definitely taking place. For many organisers, this is when sales begin to accelerate.

You can continue selling tickets all the way up to the event date, unless your event sells out earlier.

The period after confirmation is often a good opportunity to:

  • Reintroduce your event to people who were waiting to decide
  • Share the news that your event is officially happening
  • Highlight updated programmes, speakers or performers
  • Release additional ticket quantities if demand grows
  • Introduce new ticket types where appropriate

Confirmation itself becomes a powerful message.

Instead of asking people to help make the event happen, you’re now inviting them to be part of an experience that is already moving forward.

As you continue promoting your event, focus on maintaining excitement and reminding supporters what makes the experience worth attending.

Many successful organisers view confirmation as the beginning of their second sales phase rather than the end of the first.
