After verifying your email address, the next step is to set up your organiser account.

Step 1: Choose your account type

You’ll be asked to choose between a Business or Individual account.

Choose a Business account if:

• You’re organising events on behalf of a registered business.
• You want payouts to be sent to a business bank account.
• You’re authorised to act on behalf of the business.

You’ll be asked to provide some basic business information during setup.

Choose an Individual account if:

• You’re organising events in your personal capacity.
• You want payouts to be sent to your personal bank account.

You’ll be asked to provide some basic personal information during setup.

Step 2: Submit your supporting documents

Depending on your account type, you’ll be asked to upload documents to verify your account.

Business accounts

You may be asked to provide documents relating to your registered business, such as your ACRA business registration details.

Individual accounts

You’ll need to provide proof of your residential address.

Your document should:

• Show your full legal name.
• Show your current residential address.
• Be dated within the last 3 months.

Examples include:

• Utility bill
• Mobile phone bill
• Internet or broadband bill
• Government-issued letter showing your address
• Bank statement

If you choose to upload a bank statement, we recommend covering any sensitive information such as your account number, balances and transaction history. Your name, address and document date should remain clearly visible.

Your information is secure

Gigstarters does not store or have access to your banking credentials or sensitive payment information. Payment details are securely managed by Stripe during the payment setup process.

Once your organiser account has been approved, you’re ready to connect your Stripe account to receive payouts.
